Eileen Kean joined Komjathy & Stewart, LLC in 2010 and brings to the firm over twenty five years of lobbying experience including work in Washington, DC and Trenton. She is well versed in New Jersey politics and has excellent relationships with legislators on both sides of the aisle. She attended law school with Governor Chris Christie and Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno is a personal friend from the Jersey shore.
After completing her Bachelors of Arts majoring in History and Education at Rutgers College, New Jersey, Eileen began her career as a public high school American History Teacher at Shore Regional High School, West Long Branch, New Jersey. While teaching she attended the evening division of Seton Hall School of Law, Newark, New Jersey. Upon graduation and admittance to the New Jersey Bar, Eileen joined Thomas Kean Associates and began her legal career specializing in government affairs. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Insurance Agents of New Jersey and is the past president of the Deal School Board of Education.
Eileen moved to Washington, DC and continued her work with the Insurance industry and represented additional clients in the pharmaceutical, labor, and non-profit sector. She has an excellent relationship with the New Jersey Congressional Delegation and served as Federal Director of Government Affairs for the University of Phoenix before returning to New Jersey. Most recently, she worked as Director of Government Affairs for the Medical Society of New Jersey.
Eileen is active in the state Republican Party and President of the Neptune Township Republican Club. She is a volunteer in several non-profits in Monmouth County including the Church of the Seven United States Presidents.
