Year In Review: A Look Back at 2025

Last year, we celebrated 40 years.

This year, we updated our look to match the future we’re building.

The logo may be new, but the people and promise behind it haven’t changed. Long story short, we’re still the same trusted team of AEC pros with a lot to celebrate in 2025.

Thank you for trusting us to help bring your vision to life. Your partnership means everything to us, and we're excited to keep building great things together in 2026.

From all of us at WPE - Happy New Year!

WPE Staff Embrace Season of Giving

Our team members got into the spirit of the season in November and December, holding food drives in our various communities, as well as delivering donations to this year's WPE Ways to Give recipients. Ways to Give is our corporate philanthropy program designed to empower employees to make a difference by supporting local non-profit organizations. All recipients are nominated and voted on by our staff.

Below is a list of programs we supported and links to learn more about them!

WPEople

Weidner Celebrates 25 Years!

Todd came on board in 2000 as an electrical engineer and has since become one of the region’s leading authorities in system studies and design. His expertise spans coast to coast (he’s licensed in 13 states!), yet his commitment to serving our local clients and partners remains second to none. We’re grateful not only for Todd’s technical brilliance, but also for his leadership, mentorship, and the down-to-earth attitude that makes working with him such a pleasure!

Crouse Hits Decade Mark

Kelli joined WPE in 2015 as our firm's first official Marketing Director. She was brand new to the AEC sphere, but brought years of professional marketing and communications experience. Over the past decade, Kelli has learned and embraced the technical aspects and terminology of our trade - advocating for and communicating what sets WPE apart in the industry. Happy anniversary, Kelli!

Pomarleau Joins WPE Power Division

Matt Pomarleau joined our Power Division as an electrical designer this past November. A graduate of SD Mines, Matt brings valuable experience from his time with an electric co-op, where he focused on rural utility service design and construction. His expertise strengthens our capabilities in transmission and distribution system design, substations, SCADA, and load management. We’re glad to have you on board, Matt—welcome to the team!

Hoyt Joins Cedar Rapids Staff

Katie Hoyt came aboard in our Cedar Rapids office in December as an administrative assistant. In this role, she will support both our technical and operational tasks across Iowa. Welcome to WPE, Katie!
