Save the Date: Building Community Connections Virtual Meet-Up set for April 25

We just can't wait until November to connect! Join us for our first Building Community Connections (BCC) virtual meet-up! Similar to the in-person BCC event in the Fall, members will be able to interact on topics relevant to customer communications and outreach, while sharing successes and challenges. Utility staff interested in enhancing their local utility and improving customer service should attend!
Member Communication Highlights of the Month:

  • Hartford: Research shows customers in your communities appreciate your local presence and accessibility. Hartford Utilities showcases their reliable and friendly service in their recent bill insert.
  • New Holstein: New Holstein Utilities is hosting a Recycle Event in May and issued a bill insert to get the word out to customers.
  • Oconto Falls: Giving back to the community is an important attribute of local, not-for-profit utilities. During the month of May, Oconto Falls Municipal Utilities is hosting a Personal Hygiene Products Drive.
  • Waterloo: Waterloo Utilities is promoting paperless billing via MyAccount during the month of May, providing customers more options to easily manage their utility account.

Recognize and highlight your local line crew on this special day.

April 18: Online Storytime
Two lineworkers from City Utilities of Richland Center will be reading the book If I Were a Lineworker in partnership with KEEP later this month. You can Like & Share this event on Facebook encouraging customers in your community to join in on the fun.

Several new customer communication pieces, geared toward different audiences, are available to promote energy assistance.

Bill inserts, newspaper ads, social media content and more are available within the online marketing toolkit under the topics with the "Energy Assistance" name. For additional customer communication assistance, please contact Steve Lightbourn
2023 Research: Large Business Customer Survey
This year, our annual joint action market research efforts will the large business customer segment, gathering insights from local managed accounts on how the local utility can successfully meet their most important needs. The survey will launch on April 18 and be emailed to your largest business customers. Please watch for talking points and additional communication materials to share internally and with your customers soon.
