Summer Communications to Customers
Customers often experience their highest electric usage and utility bills during the summer months, when electricity demand and costs are higher. The Peak Time Communications program offers an opportunity for members to reach out to residential customers throughout the summer, helping them to manage their energy usage and costs.
- Using Constant Contact’s email service, WPPI will coordinate sending emails to all residential customers registered with MyAccount
- Educational emails informing customers about higher summer energy costs along with tips on how to better manage usage will be sent 1-2 times/month
- Energy Aware Day emails will be sent on days when system energy needs are high, asking customers to reduce usage during the hours of 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., when the system peak typically occurs
