WI Park & Recreation Association Launches New Website
WPRA has been developing this great new tool to keep membership better informed and connected. With social networking support, simple tools for staying in touch, space for sharing documents and photos, resources to support committees, a calendar of events and more we can all stay better aware and more engaged with WPRA activities.
We will also be using the site to help market the association and highlight great work being done by all its leadership. This new site can easily process membership dues and event registrations along with payments. Members are now able to update their own records at any time, which are searchable so other members can easily find you!
Please pardon our dust, the site is still under construction. But we invite you to come and see what we’ve started, and to send us your feedback on future improvements and additions.

WPRA Member Jacob Tisue Earns NRPA Community Engagement Training Scholarship
Congratulations to Jacob Tisue for earning a $400 training scholarship and being selected to attend NRPA's Community Engagement training, facilitated by the National Charrette Institute.
This customized training will center around the National Charrette Institute’s Charrette System, a collaborative, design-focused community engagement process which will be tailored toward expanding reach for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in a park and recreation context. The 2.5-hour webinar will provide an overview of the NCI Charrette process and give an introduction to some DEI tools and techniques to employ within the process.
The full day, in-person training at the NRPA conference will begin with DEI centered activities that help prepare for an inclusive charrette using park and recreation case studies. The tools will not only help prepare a charrette but are portable to other community engagements.
