Career Exploration & Training (CET)
Connecting students to life-altering career development opportunities through meaningful paid internship experiences.
| | A student practices their networking skills with a WPY Summer Internship Program employer partner from the Waltham Family School | | |
Applications for WPY's Summer Internship Program are now officially open! The Career Exploration & Training team has been keeping busy doing outreach with schools and community partners to spread the word about the program.
To help students strengthen their internship applications, the CET team has offered optional supplemental opportunities, including an Interview Skills Workshop and Employer Speed Networking event. The Employer Speed Networking event provided students the chance to connect directly with this summer's employer partners and ask questions about available summer placements. Thank you to the many employers who joined us for this event!

| | | | We're so grateful to Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) for their ongoing support of WPY's events and student programming. WSB's support goes beyond events sponsorship; their team has also led workshops for students and provided 1:1 resume and cover letter support for our interns. As WSB Vice President of Community Relations, Kelly Cronin, shared, "Watertown Savings Bank is extremely proud to support Waltham Partnership for Youth, and all of the wonderful programming they offer. The city of Waltham is very lucky to have such an incredible organization supporting and empowering Waltham's youth." | | | | Thank you to our partners at Boston Children's Hospital for their ongoing support; BCH hosts WPY interns in their COACH program, facilitates leadership opportunities for our students, and offers fiscal support via grants and sponsorships. As Greg Hamann, WPY Board Member and BCH’s Executive Director of Satellite Operations, reflected, "At Boston Children’s, we value our partnership with WPY as an important way to support the holistic well-being of children and families in Waltham. By working together, we help build a healthier, more equitable community where all young people can succeed." | | |
