Hey Everybody!

For two decades, we’ve been uplifting the voices of those on the front lines of the fight to end homelessness. We’ve been fighting for the right to survive – and thrive – and it’s taken thousands of us to build this movement:

  • Member organizations who are deeply accountable to and led by unhoused folks, collectively setting our priorities and leading our strategy.
  • Organizers hitting the streets day after to day, building relationships and tracking what they observe.
  • Unhoused people joining this fight and showing up with their experience, wisdom, and steadfast commitment.
  • Artists working with us to amplify the messaging our members create.
  • Attorneys helping us draft Right to Rest legislation, amicus briefs, and more.
  • Researchers supporting our efforts to document what is really happening on the ground and articulate it for a broad audience.
  • Funders trusting grassroots groups to lead the fight for systemic change.
  • And supporters sharing resources to fuel this work, however large or small.

It has taken all of us, working from all different angles, to collectively push for the changes we need and deserve. We are working together to build a new world in the shell of the old. Please help us celebrate this milestone and strengthen our work toward a more humane world with a contribution of $20, $220, $2,220.

Since 2005, WRAP has grown to twelve kick-ass member organizations in five states. Over the past 20 years, we have never forgotten our roots. We continue to be accountable to people living in the streets, in vehicles, in motels, and on the margins of cities, small towns, and rural areas. Outreach to unhoused people—talking to people about what they’re experiencing, what they need, what we should prioritize in our campaigns—was and still is the backbone of everything WRAP and our members do.

Check out this zine we made, documenting and celebrating 20 years of unhoused people fighting for dignity and respect.

Thank you for your support!!! True shifts will come from the power of all of us working together, led by those who know the impacts of unjust systems firsthand. You all have sustained us for 20 years, enabling us to do this work of taking the lead of our community members in the fight to end the criminalization of poverty and homelessness and for housing for all. We need you to help us bring more people into this movement to continue building power. Please consider sharing our work with at least three friends who might be interested in supporting WRAP and our members. Let us know if you need zines, stickers, posters, or other materials; we would be happy to mail them to you.

Your support gives us hope that, collectively, we can build a society in which a well-housed, healthy, vibrant community is a reality.

Peace,

Paul, Joemae, Jonathan, Maddy, and Erin, on behalf of the entire WRAP crew
