NEW FACULTY LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Waterloo Regional Campus (WRC) of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University is recruiting for the position of Assistant Pre-Clerkship Coordinator.
 
The Director will be responsible for the overall operation of the Clinical Teaching Unit and ensuring a supportive, learning environments for all learners while balancing the needs of patients and faculty. The Director has a leadership role in maintaining and developing educational and evaluation activities on the General Medicine Clinical Teaching Unit for Undergraduate and Postgraduate trainees.

The Clinical Educator Program provides formal training in medical education, to give you the skills and tools that you need to provide consultative medical education advice and guidance for education projects. This includes practical training in curriculum design and implementation, scholarly teaching and learning, assessment and evaluation, education scholarship and leadership. The CE program gives you the tools to be a valuable educational resource for your educational environment and workplace.

The Clinical Educator program is an Area of Focused Competency Diploma program offered through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. It is designed to be concurrent with an active medical practice.

In this keynote, Dr. Bigham discuss the values that lead physicians to participate in public discourse through the popular press, describes the difference between "news" and "ideas" and lists criteria for newsworthiness.
