Software Product Vision

Our vision for this project is to create a greenfield attribute tracking software that is accurate, effortless, and empowering — a tool that saves time, reduces stress, builds trust, and provides users with a seamless experience.

WREGIS Committee Elections

The nomination period is closed, with one nomination for each of the two available seats.

Nominations by Seat:

State/Provincial/Voluntary Seat

Anne-Marie Preisach — works for the Nevada Public Utilities Commission and has served on the WREGIS Committee since 2006.

Industry-Ad Hoc Seat

Chris Leyerle — works for Puget Sound Energy and has chaired the WREGIS Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) for the past two years.

Elections Process and Voting:

Timeline: Held during the month of September.
Platform: Voting occurs online via Simply Voting software.
SAC Members: Eligible voters will receive further information about this process soon.
Non-SAC Members: To vote in the upcoming election, please fill out the SAC Registration form and return to wregishelp@wecc.org.

Software Launch Forum Update

The Software Launch Forum (forum) met on August 18 to review system updates and gather user input. The session featured presentations about functionality changes to generator status, generation adjustments, and the simplified generation upload file format. Members shared valuable feedback and provided suggestions for future presentations and discussion topics. The next forum meeting is scheduled for September 15.

WREGIS Training Tip: Submitting a Generation Adjustment

Did you know you can submit generation adjustments to WREGIS for up to two years after the generation period to correct errors and ensure accurate reporting?

When making a correction, remember, generation adjustments must include the full amount for the period rather than the difference between the original amount and the corrected amount.

To correct a previously issued generation entry, there are two options:

File Upload: Add the word “adjustment” in the column to the right of the total quantity. For more information, review Uploading Generation Data Using a File.
Manual UI: Enter the data as normal but select the “Adjustment” checkbox on the review screen. For more information visit Uploading Generation Data Using the UI.

Note: You can only submit an adjustment if there is already an original generation entry in “Accepted” or “Issued” status. Otherwise, simply upload the data using the standard process.

Western Renewable Energy Generation Information System (WREGIS) is an independent, web-based tracking system for renewable energy certificates (REC), predominantly in the West. WREGIS is a WECC non-statutory program.
