VIR 2023 Staging & Load-in Information

VIR Load-in Timeline

Happy Independance Day! Please read this entire message, it includes everything you need to successfully load into VIR on Thursday July 6th! We will be utilizing VIR's new staging lot adjacent to the guard house, see diagrams below. Load-in will proceed in the order of staging arrival.

8:00 AM - Staging lot opens

1:00 PM - Registration open in staging lot

4:30 PM - Registration closes in staging lot

5:30 PM - Load-in to paddock

6:00 PM - Registration re-opens in Tech building

6:30 PM - Tech opens in Tech building

STAGING

*Bypass if arriving after 5:30 pm and proceed directly to guard house for entry.

Front entrance staging lot will open at 8:00 am on Thursday 7/6/2023. Please stay in staging area after you are parked. All truck drivers must be present by 4:30 PM in the event that early load-in is permitted.

BEFORE you get to the guard house you will turn right onto raceplex road. See diagram for traffic flow in and out of the staging lot.

5:30 PM is our scheduled Load-in time - DO NOT MOVE UNTIL INSTRUCED TO DO SO

Paddock Load-in may commence once instructed. Trucks will be released in the order they arrived to Staging. Once this process begins, any trucks at the front gate will be held until the last truck exits the staging lot.

Once trucks arrive at the North Paddock entrance they will be released one at a time to avoid parking congestion. Pit assignments will be released in advance so teams can reference them to choose a paddock parking space.

Once trucks arrive at the entrance to the North Paddock they will be allowed to move into the paddock to park. Depending on traffic in the paddock we may hold trucks at this point to allow others to finish parking.

ABSOLUTELY NO HOLDING SPOTS FOR RVS, OTHER TEAMS, ETC. PADDOCK IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED AS TRUCKS ARRIVE INTO THE PADDOCK

General Parking: If you do not have a garage you may park in any of the GREEN parking areas, they are first-come-first-served. Please see the pit assignments at the top of this message to assist you in determining the best parking location for your trailers.

Garages: Teams with garages get ONE reserved parking spot per garage

(15' x 85') marked in RED - this may not be wide enough for slideouts / etc so keep that in mind. If you have one garage and multiple trailers you will need to overflow into the open paddock parking behind, however those areas are not reserved so additional parking directly behind is not guaranteed.

Rental Campers / RVs: You must be present to receive delivery of the trailer to have it parked in your paddock area at the time of load in or it will be dropped in the RV drop-off area marked in YELLOW.

Personal Vehicles: Personal vehicles should be parked in the personal vehicle parking area marked in PURPLE No personal vehicles should be parked behind or near the tech shed unless in designated, marked parking spots.

Any vehicles blocking the tech building, registration or race control and other competitors will be towed offsite at owners expense.
