World Racing League @ COTA
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2021 National Championship Finale is almost here!
2021 WRL COTA National Championship

This is it! An incredible 2021 WRL Season will be punctuated with another SOLD OUT event at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX. Please see below for additional information, COTA is a huge undertaking for both our teams and our series - logistics and other key pieces of information are to follow.

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE THOROUGHLY

Garage spaces - a few garage spaces will be added, those who requested to be on the waitlist for garages will have first selection, but if you'd like a garage and weren't able to get one, please send an email to Race@racewrl.com with the title "COTA Garage" and we'll add you to that list. We should be able to add approximately 10 garage spaces that will be distributed early next week.

KEEP IN MIND all garage spaces are split down the middle, this provides a space that is approximately 10' wide by 60' deep. This is to control costs for teams and allow as many people as possible to set up in garages.

If you have a garage, you MUST be staged in Lot R no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, 12/3/21 - We will load into garage spaces in numerical order from lowest to highest. These garage assignments will be posted early next week. If you are late we cannot guarantee there will be enough room to maneuver your truck into your assigned parking position. More logistics information to follow.

HPDE participants - those participating in the HPDE only please see the supplemental rules for HPDE schedule. Additional information, parking and tech info will be sent out in an email to follow.

Garage parking - ONE reserved parking space NEAR your garage is included with each garage space purchased. Each of these spaces is approximately 12' wide and 100' deep. Keep in mind that if your tow vehicle / camper has slide-outs it may not be possible to fully extend them within this space. If you need to extend these you may pull into the spot across the fire lane for additional room. If you wish to open a trailer-mounted canopy and only reserved 1 or 2 garage spaces, you may do so across the fire lane in the garage overflow area.

Campers that are not towing a race trailer are NOT allowed in the paddock. COTA has reserved camping spaces for this purpose that can be reserved on their website along with power. If you are camping in a COTA space, WRL camping passes are NOT required. If you are camping in your tow vehicle in the paddock a WRL camping pass is required.

Paddock power is extremely sparse and is not guaranteed or sold by WRL in any area of the paddock. First-come-first-served

Pit assignments will be released by 12/2/2021, we will aim to release these before move-in to assist you in choosing your parking space, teams with garages will be pitted as near as possible to their garage assignment but a direct correlation is almost impossible given the large amount of pit requests - Please do not move into pit stalls until AFTER the driver's meeting on Friday morning (8:00 am)

Disclosure sheets are due on 11/24/21 if you have made changes or have not submitted one for the 2021 Season.

Driver Registration Deadline is on 11/24/21. This gives you plenty of time if you have people on the fence or are looking to fill more seats. We STRONGLY suggest that you add all of your drivers to your current registration when you have them confirmed.

Additional information and logistics will be sent in the coming days with additional information and diagrams along with a final version of the supplemental rules.

CRITICAL SUPPLEMENTAL RULE ITEMS / UPDATES

Please read the supplemental rules in their entirety as there are MANY more critical items that we will expect you to know when you arrive to race with us. Reading the supps is REQUIRED, however, we will outline critical changes below:

  • Cars without 2021 annual tech completed will not have their times counted in qualifying until tech is completed. Teams may run without being officially classed but a safety check is mandatory.

  • Race drivers meeting - attendance will be checked and a special voucher (required) to get on track will be handed out at this meeting. Do not miss it. If you must miss Friday evening's driver's meeting please email race@racewrl.com asap. (Location to be determined)

  • All changeable tunes / power sticks / etc must be disclosed at EVERY EVENT so that security tape can be placed to lock tune. Failure to self-disclose to tech may result in penalties up to DQ.

  • If you have not raced with us in 2021. Please review the supplemental rules for our updated Passing Under Yellow Rules - details in supplemental rules on pg. 5
ACTION ITEMS

WRL tech is annual - if you have not tech'd your car in 2021 you must submit a completed disclosure worksheet w/ dyno no later than 10/6/2021 to Race@racewrl.com. Failure to submit by 10/6/2021 may result in your car being DQ'd from podium results / points if tech cannot be completed in time. If you have already tech'd this year and do not need to make changes, no action is required.

You must bring 2 physical copies of your disclosure worksheet to tech inspection.
