A note from our President
Dear Sisters,

We recently had a Women of Rodef Sholom Board Retreat. It was a wonderful day of learning, laughing, and connecting! I wanted to share, with all of you, one of the activities we did called a Six-Word Memoir. We wrote our memoirs about what the Women of Rodef Sholom means to us.

Six-Word Memoirs:
A Six-Word Memoir was a project of Smith Magazine. The challenge is to tell the story of your life, or some part of it, in exactly six words. To tell a Six-Word Memoir is to distill a story you find important into the six most vital and expressive words. This idea originated from the novelist Ernest Hemmingway, who was challenged to write a story using only six words. His story read: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

Our Six Word Memoirs describing the Women of Rodef Sholom:
  • Enrich your life, join us, grow.
  • Enrich your life, you will feel loved.
  • Embrace us, feel connected, love & flourish.
  • You will, no doubt, feel at home.
  • Join us-Sisters united sharing & caring.
  • Connect in service with caring and community.
  • Be inspired by other badass women.
  • Repair yourself, repair the world.
  • The next phase of your life.
  • Our wonderful sisters from another mother.
  • Your path to fulfillment and support.
  • Repairing the world with your Sisters.
  • Women connected to Judaism and community.
  • We’re not done. Just getting started.
  • Multi-generational women joyfully engaged and supportive.
  • Volunteer opportunity; it’s exciting, inclusive, meaningful, yours.
  • Women in strength finding community together.
  • Rich in friends and family together.
  • Join us: friendship, personal growth, change the world.
  • Be inspired to reach your passion.
  • Your passion is calling-join us.
  • Join supportive, fun women creating community.
  • Connections to treasure with women forever.
  • Women in sacred spaces and community.
  • Listen, hear voices of your Sisters.
  • Come close, find yourself with us.
  • WRS makes me feel wanted, giving, inclusive.

Below is a word cloud heart using all the words from the above memoirs. The larger the word, the more often it was used.
We look forward to sharing our love and passion for WRS with all of you, and seeing you at our upcoming events in 2019!
With much love,
Lucy Schneidman
