Sharing Shabbat

Torah Study

Saturday, April 18 at 9:00 am 

 

Join us every Saturday morning as we gather for a brief service, nosh, and lively discussion of our weekly Torah portion. Our service is clergy led and features moments of gratitude, healing and remembrance. Following some snacking and schmoozing, we come back together for engaging Torah study. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.

Weekly Online Learning with Rabbi Blake: “Treasures of Talmud”

Climate Change and Infectious Diseases

Climate change has increased the prevalence and geographic distribution of many infectious diseases including those caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi. Dr. Michael Simberkoff, Professor of Medicine/Infectious Diseases NYU Grossman School of Medicine, will discuss this emerging public health problem and describe four important examples: Lyme disease, Dengue, malaria, and Candida auris infections.

They'll discuss preventing memory loss and keeping your brain sharp. Lisa's book, Minding Your Memory (2025), will be available.

Cooking4HOPE, Hot Meals

Monday, April 27 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (at WRT)

 

Sign up to join other members of the WRT community to cook a hot dinner, make sandwiches, and pack sandwich bags for HOPE Community Services. You can also bake desserts to be included in the sandwich bags, shop for groceries, or deliver to HOPE.  Sign up here. Cooking4HOPE is funded by WRT’s Food and Housing Insecurity Fund, so please continue to support these efforts by contributing to the Fund.

Have a rising kindergartener? Join the JLL for a Taste of Kindergarten, Sunday, May 3, 2026, 9:00–10:30 am. Learn about the program with Rabbi Citrin while your child participates in a lesson. Weekly and monthly options available. Register here!
