Kabbalat Shabbat service

This week’s D’var Torah will be offered by Cantorial Intern, Phil Fisherman. Our Shabbat service features the rituals, melodies and warmth of our congregation. The service includes a sermon or presentation by one of our rabbis, cantors, or special guests. Participate alongside fellow congregants in-person, or join us on any of our live-streaming platforms.

Torah Study
Saturday, August 29 at 9:00 am
Join us every Saturday morning as we gather for a brief service, nosh, and lively discussion of our weekly Torah portion. Our service is clergy led and features moments of gratitude, healing and remembrance. Following some snacking and schmoozing, we come back together for engaging Torah study. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.

Cooking4HOPE
Monday, August 31 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sign up to join other members of the WRT community to cook and pack sandwich bags for HOPE Community Services. You can also bake desserts to be included in the sandwich bags, shop for groceries, or deliver to HOPE. Cooking4Hope is funded by WRT's Food and Housing Insecurity Fund, so please continue to support these efforts by contributing to the fund. To volunteer, please contact barbara.nitzberg@wrtemple.org .

S'lichot with Tony Award Winner, Ari’el Stachel
Saturday, September 5 at 7:00 pm at Westchester Reform Temple
Join us as we usher in the Days of Awe with fellow Westchester congregations, preparing for the High Holidays' spiritual renewal. Tony Award winner Ari'el Stachel (The Band's Visit) performs his one-man show, Other, a funny, fearless exploration of identity, mental health, and self-acceptance. We'll also change our Torah mantles to white.

All New J Shop! Bringing more Jewish moments into everyday life - Grand Opening Pop-up

The morning will feature beautifully curated Judaica, gifts, and several wonderful pop-up vendors, all designed to inspire Jewish living in contemporary and meaningful ways.

Yom Kippur Food Drive
September 13 – 23, 2026
Please donate non-perishable items only. No glass containers, pre–opened or out-of-date items please. When choosing items for donation, please look for labels that read: low sodium, no salt added, no sugar added, unsweetened, reduced sodium, 100% fruit juice, lite. All items will be donated to Feeding Westchester.
The following are the most needed items: Canned or dry beans; canned meat or fish, canned vegetables (low sodium), canned meals, brown or white rice, whole grain pasta, shelf-stable milk, peanut butter, and whole grain cereal. Deliver your food bags to the bin that will be located under a tent in the back parking lot in the parking space closest to the ECC playgrounds.
If you prefer to make a monetary donation, you can donate directly to Feeding Westchester by visiting www.feedingwestchester.org/get-involved/donate/ or bringing a check made out to Feeding Westchester to our WRT office (please do not make the check out to WRT). We will forward any checks received to Feeding Westchester. If you would like to make a donation to the WRT's Food and Housing Insecurity Fund, you may do so HERE.

Calling all 8th and 9th graders!
This October, AKLA is launching in New York with a free, one-day immersive leadership and Jewish identity experience! Participants will fly F-35 flight simulators with Israeli Air Force instructors, explore Jewish and Israeli innovation through Virtual Reality, take on an interactive Drone Obstacle Course, and meet and train with Peter Paltchik — Israel's two-time Olympic medalist, and former world No. 1 judoka, European Champion. Space is limited so register now for this amazing opportunity on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
