Torah Study
Saturday, January 10 at 9:00 am (in-person at WRT or Zoom)
Join us every Saturday morning as we gather for a brief service, nosh, and lively discussion of our weekly Torah portion. Our service is clergy led and features moments of gratitude, healing and remembrance. Following some snacking and schmoozing, we come back together for engaging Torah study. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.

Join master teacher (Rabbi Blake’s mentor and friend) Rabbi Jan D. Katzew, PhD., for four probing sessions about God, Jewish belief, and developing a personal theology: our own understanding of the Divine. This interactive zoom class will introduce concepts from ancient and modern Jewish thought prompting interrogation our own beliefs and misconceptions.

Join the Cantors for a presentation and conversation with acclaimed music critic and cultural historian Jeremy Eichler, author of Time’s Echo, winner of three National Jewish Book Awards including 2023 Book of the Year. Mr. Eichler, our Marjorie and Morgan, z”l, Miller Scholar-in-Residence for 2026, will present on how cultural memory is preserved and transmitted through music, with a focus on the masterpieces produced in the wake of the Holocaust. The NY Blood Center has declared a blood emergency. The supply in our area is at critically low levels due to the combination of the holidays, bad weather, and respiratory virus (flu) infections. Donations at our blood drive this Sunday is a real Mitzvah.

WRT WINTER FILM SERIES WITH RABBI BLAKE
Join Rabbi Blake as we continue our winter tradition of screening films of Jewish interest, followed by probing conversation. This winter, we will explore the character of the Jewish mother in cinema, unpacking both the stereotypes and the subversive messages depicted on screen. The next film is:
