Kabbalat Shabbat Service

Friday, November 28 at 6:15 pm (at WRT)


Shabbat service features the rituals, melodies and warmth of our congregation. The service includes a sermon or presentation by one of our rabbis, cantors, or special guests. Participate alongside fellow congregants in-person, or join us on any of our live-streaming platforms.

Torah Study

Join us every Saturday morning as we gather for a brief service, nosh, and lively discussion of our weekly Torah portion. Our service is clergy led and features moments of gratitude, healing and remembrance. Following some snacking and schmoozing, we come back together for engaging Torah study. WRT Delivers Thanksgiving


Over 300 volunteers of all ages came together the last few days to bake, cook, put together and deliver close to 650 meals. The meals were distributed throughout Westchester to HOPE Community Services, Meals on Main Street, WJCS, White Plains Family Medical Center, Neighbors Link and Salvation Army. A special thank you to Amanda Glattstein, our resident chef and kitchen manager extraordinaire.   

WRT Holiday Toy Drive

December 1 - 12, 2025


Drop off an unwrapped gift in the bin in front of WRT between December 1 - 12, 2025. All gifts will be distributed through Children's Hope Chest and Pleasantville Cottage School. Or you can send directly to Children's Hope Chest.

WRJ Hanukkah Party: Annual Donut Tasting Contest!

Wednesday, December 3 from 8:00 pm - 9:45 pm


WRJ invites the entire congregation to join us for our third annual Hanukkah Party. Our donut tasting contest is back and better than ever! This year, we will again feature the musical talents of Cantor Kleinman who will lead us in singing some of our Hanukkah favorites as well as lighting the menorah. Don’t like donuts? No problem. We will also

have fruit, cheese, and wine!

The Menorah Project: “Fighting Anti-Semitism One Menorah at a Time” 


The Menorah Project strives to encourage local businesses to display Hanukkiah and other Hanukkah decorations during the Chanukiah/holiday season. Volunteer to distribute Menorahs to local businesses and spread the light Hanukkah through our community! Rabbi Blake and Rabbi Platcow: Talmud Shiur

Join us for Shabbat at 5:30 pm with a special “Pre-Neg”, as we share food and drink and connect with each other before Services. Make our experiment a success, as we envision new ways to enrich our Shabbat experience at WRT. All are welcome.

At this service, we will celebrate the dedication of the Imershein Family Torah which has been donated to WRT by our congregants Joanna and Eddie Manheimer and their family. We are grateful to become the custodians of this beautiful sacred scroll!

MRJ Lecture Series with Jared Diamond from The Wall Street Journal

Sunday, December 7 at 11:00 am (at WRT)


Jared Diamond joins us to talk about his career as a sports reporter at The Wall Street Journal, where he has worked for 15 years. He serves as the newspaper’s national baseball writer, while also covering the broader global sports landscape with a particular emphasis on the rapidly expanding sports gambling industry. Over the course of his career, he has covered 10 World Series, two Super Bowls, three college football national championship games, three Final Fours, the Olympics, and more.


His first book, Swing Kings: The Inside Story of Baseball’s Home Run Revolution, was published in March 2020. In addition to his work as a journalist, Diamond teaches at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and Manhattanville University. He is also a graduate of Scarsdale High School.

WRT WINTER FILM SERIES WITH RABBI BLAKE 


Join Rabbi Blake as we continue our winter tradition of screening films of Jewish interest, followed by probing conversation. This winter, we will explore the character of the Jewish mother in cinema, unpacking both the stereotypes and the subversive messages depicted on screen. The first film is:


December 14, 2pm:  Goodbye, Columbus (1969): Based on the groundbreaking novella by Philip Roth (1959), Goodbye, Columbus introduces us to many of the stereotypical associations with Jewish Mothers. How did these register at the time? How do we understand them today?  

WRT Holiday Food Drive: Let's help make sure no one goes hungry this winter and holiday season. Please bring canned food, cereal, and whole grain pasta to WRT between December 17-23. There will be a bin outside the front doors for you to drop off.
