Bought 15-acres from Harlan back in 2016
- Was a former owner of Bounty Hunter in Napa
- Owns another Brunello estate, Podere Brizio
- Owns one of the oldest and finest Chianti houses, Dievole, which dates back to 1090.
Jeez... well, it's no surprise that Poggio Landi is a seriously hedonistic, modern-styled Brunello.
It's aged 38 months in French oak as opposed to the traditional Slovanian casks. To give you a reference point, the venerable Tenuta Il Poggione Brunello also uses French oak.
Except... Poggio Landi would be the younger cousin that prefers exotic sports cars over luxury sedans. Not so subtle, but plenty of thrill. Though delicious and providing glorious drinking now, this will also age for a few decades.
