Celebrate the Night in Black & White: A Gala to Remember!

On March 29, 2025, the White Settlement Area Chamber of Commerce turned the Pecan Grove Convention Center into a night to remember with our Annual Gala Event, Celebrate the Night in Black and White. It was an evening brimming with excitement and that unmistakable Texas flair!

Guests kicked off the night with a meal before jumping into the real action. The casino tables were alive with attendees chasing prizes (no cash, just glory!), and the silent auction had everyone eyeing unique finds. True to Texas style, our raffles stole the show: a handgun from Shoot Smart sparked buzz, while a table piled high with alcohol—donated by our generous Chamber members—kept spirits soaring.

The night’s pinnacle? Celebrating our 2025 award winners for their outstanding impact:

  • Business of the Year: DRKM Strategies
  • Board Member of the Year: Ken Botts
  • Brinda Rhodes Community Service Award: Teresa Dye
  • Rising Star Award: Jillian Wyatt

A big thank you to all who joined, sponsored, and made it unforgettable! Flip through the full photo album here. Here’s to more community, connection, and Texas-sized fun!

April Luncheon Recap: Insights from Mayor Faron Young and City Manager Jeffrey James

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the White Settlement Area Chamber of Commerce hosted an insightful luncheon featuring two key speakers: White Settlement Mayor Faron Young and City Manager Jeffrey James. They shared updates on local developments, public services, and the city’s vision for the future, giving attendees plenty to think about!

Here are the highlights:

  • New Developments: Exciting projects are underway, including Entrepreneur Park next to Wells Fargo Bank, where the owner of Heim’s BBQ has relocated their HQ to White Settlement and will lease space to other entrepreneurs. Toyota of Fort Worth Dealership is also relocating to White Settlement with a $19MM construction project. On the infrastructure front, the city is making progress with street improvements and new bike lanes.
  • Public Services: Police Chief Cook reported a fully staffed department, a big win after consistently having 5 open positions for years—now down to just 1 or 2. Fire Chief shared that their team is also fully staffed, ensuring faster response times for emergencies.
  • Community Focus: Parks and Rec are thriving, with the Recreation Center moving forward on exciting updates. The city is also working to maximize the Convention Center’s potential.
  • Looking Ahead: The city website will soon share more about what’s happening with the Chamber and local businesses that support White Settlement. City Manager Jeffrey James emphasized the goal of preserving White Settlement as a distinct community while maintaining its unique identity.

Thank you to Mayor Young, City Manager James, and all who attended for making this a productive and engaging event! Stay tuned for more updates in our next luncheon.
