Feminist Futures Series
From the crisis facing women in Afghanistan to the abortion ban in Texas, how did we get here, and where do we go from here? Join the Feminist Futures series, and let’s get to work. We’ll learn from the struggles and choices of everyday feminists throughout history who’ve navigated similar waters, and we’ll look inwards at ourselves as we build the hard skills to create a feminist future.

The objective of the organization is to unite women of the Democratic Party; to promote the principles and values of the Democratic Party as espoused in our platform, and to encourage full participation of women in every level of the Democratic Party Structure.

"The movement is a sort of mosaic. Each of us puts in one little stone, and then you get a great mosaic at the end."
 ~ Alice Paul (1885-1977)

The Washington State Federation of Democratic Women is a chapter of the National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW), established in 1971 as a means of supporting women’s voices within the Democratic Party of the United States.
The NFDW hosts national and state-level conferences and activities. The NFDW is a recognized constituent group of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and therefore has three seats on the DNC and the president of NFDW is part of the executive committee of the DNC.

The NFDW has 39 chapters around the country and looks to expand to every state and protectorate.
