WSIB offices closed to the public
To help protect people from the spread of COVID-19, we have made the decision to close our offices to the public until further notice. Our staff will be happy to help through our online services and are available by phone to answer any questions.
Benefit payments continue
We are continuing to pay all wage-loss benefits and we have ensured all Loss of Earning (LOE) benefits are up to date. We also have staff in place to help manage any new claims as quickly as possible.

We understand that people may not be able to attend, or may be uncomfortable attending, claim-related appointments. If someone is unable to attend an appointment, please cancel it directly with the applicable person or organization. People do not need to contact their adjudicator/case manager to let them know. A decision to avoid an appointment will not affect people’s entitlement to benefits or services.

If someone does plan to attend a scheduled appointment, we suggest they call ahead to confirm or determine if a virtual option is available.
How you can reach us
Our offices will remain closed to the public during this time of public concern and we will not be processing requests by mail. There are other ways we can help you:

  • Phone: You can call us at 1-800-387-0750, Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please be prepared for the possibility of longer wait times.
  • Online: You can use our online services, and upload claim-related information online. Our online services are the quickest way to send us information.
  • Email: Employers can email us at employeraccounts@wsib.on.ca or fax us at 416-344-4684 or 1-888-313-7373.
  • Fax: For non-claim related information that you might normally mail, fax us at 416-344-4684 or 1-888-313-7373.

We'll continue to monitor and follow the guidance of provincial and national health authorities, including the Ontario Ministry of Health and the Public Health Agency of Canada , to ensure we are able to protect the health and safety of our employees and continue to serve the people of Ontario.
Support for businesses
We are prioritizing calls about health care and wage-loss benefits. As a result, wait times for account related inquiries will be longer than usual.

The best way to manage your account is through our online services. If you need urgent assistance, please email us at employeraccounts@wsib.on.ca .

See our FAQs for businesses on getting in touch while our offices are closed.

Helpful resources
We all have a role to play in reducing the spread of infection. Measures developed for managing influenza outbreaks continue to be recommended by public health officials including:

  • practice social distancing as much as possible
  • wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • cough or sneeze into a tissue or the bend of your arm, not your hand, and wash hands afterward
  • avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • clean high-touch surfaces frequently

Funded by businesses, we also provide no-fault collective liability insurance and access to industry-specific health and safety information.
