Our Chair, Elizabeth Witmer, and our Acting President and CEO, Tom Bell were joined by the Hon. Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development, and Virginia Campeau from Threads of Life to commemorate this year's national Day of Mourning online.

At the ceremony, we honoured all who have suffered a workplace death, injury or illness, and expressed our support for their families, friends and colleagues whose lives have been permanently impacted by these tragedies. By sharing their stories, we renew our commitment to making our workplaces healthy and safe and help prevent workplace deaths, injuries and illnesses from happening to others.

Threads of Life is a registered charity dedicated to supporting families after a workplace fatality, life-altering injury or occupational disease. Their annual Steps for Life fundraising events in communities across Ontario will be virtual this year.
