Surplus rebate for businesses
Eligible businesses will receive surplus rebates in April 2022, as our insurance fund now has a surplus greater than our necessary reserve due to strong operational, financial and investment management. Our surplus allows for up to $1.5 billion in total to be rebated, helping eligible businesses with their post-pandemic recovery and investments in health and safety.

Health and Safety Excellence program now part of online services
Health and Safety Excellence program members can now sign in to their accounts directly from our online services log-in page. Now all the services you need are available from the same place on our website, making it easier for you to do business with the WSIB.
Scientific Advisory Table established
We have reached another milestone in the implementation of our occupational disease strategy. Scientific Advisory Table members have been chosen and will begin their important work in the next few months. In addition to all the distinguished experts, we are fortunate to have Dr. Paul Demers at the Table to help advise us on future occupational disease policy development. Find out more and meet the Table members.
Spanish-language video on submitting claims
Spanish-speaking people who are injured or made ill at work can now watch a Spanish-language video on our YouTube Channel that explains how to submit a WSIB claim. The video will be translated into more languages in the coming months.
National Day of Mourning celebration
We will be honouring those who have died, been injured or suffered illness in the workplace in our special ceremony to commemorate the National Day of Mourning on Thursday, April 28. Please visit our website to learn more and look out for more event details coming soon.
