New! Report an injury, illness or exposure through online services

Now people can sign up for online services to report their workplace injury, illness or exposure. By signing up for an account at the start of a claim, people can track their report and easily view their information as soon as their claim is registered. They can also start using other online services features like submitting documents online, signing up for direct deposit, and sending us a message, all in one convenient place. The WSIB and the Government of Ontario propose expanding presumptive cancer coverage for firefighters

Together, the WSIB and Ontario government proposed expanding presumptive coverage for thyroid and pancreatic cancers for firefighters. These changes will make it easier and faster for firefighters and their families to access the necessary compensation and supports. The expanded coverage will apply to full-time, volunteer, and part-time firefighters, firefighters employed by First Nations band councils, and fire investigators.

Reminder: reconciliation due March 31

Businesses that reported and paid premiums monthly in 2022, as well as those who closed an account during the year, must complete their annual reconciliation by March 31, 2023. Businesses can reconcile through their online banking or our online services.

Account statements now available exclusively online

WSIB account statements are now available exclusively through our online services. We no longer mail paper statements. Businesses can sign up for an online services account now to view their statement and account balance right away.

April 28 is the Day of Mourning

In April, we’ll be honouring those who have been affected by work-related injury, illness or death, as we observe the Day of Mourning on April 28.
