Businesses can now easily access claim information online
We’ve expanded our online services to make it easier for businesses to work with us and support their employees after a workplace injury or illness. Through their online services account, businesses can now easily view claim information such as claim status, latest payments and approved benefits. They can also submit documents directly to claim files and send us messages about claims, all in one convenient place, at any time.
More flexibility to call us when it’s convenient for you
Life doesn’t stop at 5 p.m. That’s why we’re trying out extended phone hours, so people have more flexibility to call us when it’s convenient for them. Starting Monday, June 20, people can reach us by phone from 7:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., Monday to Friday. Our online services are also available 24/7 on our website.
Double the rebates and $1,000 towards your health and safety plan
The WSIB is helping smaller businesses (1 to 99 full-time employees) recover from the pandemic by doubling their Health and Safety Excellence program rebates and giving $1,000 towards their safety plan.
 Surplus rebate reminder
Surplus rebates have been distributed to eligible Ontario businesses to help with their post-pandemic recovery. Eligible businesses can use their surplus rebates to pay future premiums or ask to receive a cheque for any credits on their account to invest in health and safety improvements or fund other needed investments.
Our model employees are back at work!
Our model employees are back working at their summer jobs, just like the young people we reach with our Practice Safe Work campaign. You can visit our campaign website to check out this year’s videos and find resources that can help keep young people safe at work.

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is here to help. When an injury or illness happens on the job, we move quickly to provide wage-loss benefits, medical coverage and support to help people get back to work. Funded by businesses, we also provide no-fault collective liability insurance and access to industry-specific health and safety information. We are one of the largest insurance organizations in North America covering over five million people in more than 300,000 workplaces across Ontario.
