Financial relief package reminder
Repayment of deferred amounts as part of our financial relief package will begin in January 2021. Participating businesses can repay deferred amounts online in one or multiple installments between January and June 30, 2021, interest-free.

If you require additional support once the repayment period has started, please contact us and we will be happy to work with you.

You can visit our website to learn more about how we’re helping reduce the financial burden on Ontario businesses during this time.
New ways for you to report online
We have introduced new ways for people to report or file a claim online, right on our website. Now you can:

  • submit exposure incident reports;
  • upload a new injury or illness report;
  • add supporting documents with the report; and
  • file a noise-induced hearing loss claim.

This is part of our commitment to saving you time and making it easier to work with us.
Winners of the Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards announced
On November 24, we celebrated our Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards with a virtual event recognizing small businesses that prioritize health and safety, and are going the extra mile during the pandemic.

Ron H. Williams Drainage Inc. earned the bronze prize ($2,000), Albany Retirement Village received the silver prize ($3,000), and Brick and Co. Restoration Ltd. took home the gold prize ($5,000). Watch their video to learn how they are keeping their workplace safe.
Better mental stress information to help connect people to right supports faster
We have updated information about work-related mental stress injuries on our website. With a stronger focus on symptoms and causes, we want to help people understand whether their experience meets requirements for mental stress benefits. This information should help save people time and find the right course of action and support sooner.
Our interactive premium rate calculator for businesses is here
As part of our enhanced online services for businesses, a new calculator is available to help businesses see the impact specific health and safety improvement would have on their premium rate. You can access this calculator and more by signing up for our online services.
Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Program of Care updated
We have updated our Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Program of Care to reflect current research so people with these injuries receive the right care at the right time. This comprehensive eight-week program is available to people within three months after their injury.
The program is easy for health care providers to deliver, and includes online reporting and bundled fees. Providers wishing to deliver the new program of care must review the program materials and watch the training webinar prior to registration.

Learn more at our Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Program of Care web page.
Updated return-to-work policies are now available
Our return-to-work policies have been updated, making them easier to understand and apply. Updates to our policies include clarifying aspects of the return-to-work process, and incorporating current program terminology. The number of policies are also reduced from seven to four. These updates are the result of a scheduled review in support of our current Return-to-Work and Recovery Services Strategy.

Funded by businesses, we also provide no-fault collective liability insurance and access to industry-specific health and safety information.
