Public reopening of the WSIB offices
We are planning to re-open all WSIB offices to the public on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022. All visitors to our offices will need to follow the health and safety measures in place. Alternatively, you can always use our quick and secure online services to report an injury or illness, send claim documents, pay premiums and more.
Winners of the Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards announced
On November 25, we announced the winners of our Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards during our Celebration of Health and Safety event.

Congratulations to the following recipients of this year’s awards:
  • Gold: Tara Natural Foods ($5,000)
  • Silver: First General Muskoka ($3,000)
  • Bronze: Aardvark Drilling Inc. ($2,000)

Occupational disease policy framework consultation open 
As we progress with the development and implementation of our occupational disease strategy, you are invited to provide feedback on the draft Occupational Disease Policy Framework. All feedback is valuable to us and will be carefully considered. We look forward to hearing from you before the submission deadline of January 31, 2022. Find out more about the consultation.
Our equity, diversity and inclusion strategy
At the WSIB, we play a unique role in making Ontario a safer and healthier place to live and work, giving us the opportunity to model and grow a more equitable society. With that in mind, we have developed our equity, diversity and inclusion strategy. The five-year strategy is our roadmap of actions we will take to ensure our services are inclusive by design and our workforce reflects the diversity of the people we serve.
WSIB team members recognized for being here to help
Several WSIB employees were recently recognized for their outstanding work helping to deliver the best possible services to the people of Ontario and improve workers’ compensation systems around the world.

Terrance D’souza, Executive Director of Advanced Analytics, received an International Collaboration Award and Jina Qu, Manager of Predictive Modelling, won the NextGen Award from the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC). Our Service Design team also won the Service Design Network award for 2020/21 in the non-profit/public sector category for organizational impact.
2021 reconciliation update
2021 reconciliation will be available exclusively through our enhanced online services starting in late February 2022, providing a faster and simpler process for Ontario businesses. Our online reconciliation application is quick, secure and convenient, and allows you to pay any amounts owing directly online. Start preparing for 2021 reconciliation by signing up for our online services.
