We have received dozens of calls and emails from our Pest Control Insurance Program insureds asking, “Does our insurance cover us for COVID-19 related sanitation applications?” The short answer? Yes. But there are three questions we believe you should ask yourself before getting started.
First, do you meet the licensing requirements for providing sanitation services? In the state of Washington, the Commercial Applicator and Commercial Operator licenses include the ability to apply EPA approved sanitizers.
Second, are you using an EPA approved product registered in the state of Washington? Make sure to check the PICOL list to confirm before using a specific product.
Third, does my insurance policy cover sanitation services? If you are part of our
