COVID-19 Update:

WSRA has implemented protocols to work remotely. We will remain open and be able to answer phone calls and emails. However, certain requests might take longer to process than usual. We would like to thank you for your understanding and continued support during this time.

On Monday, March 23, 2020, Governor Inslee’s announced a State wide Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order. The entire proclamation can be viewed in the above link, as can the document outlining what is deemed essential businesses.

  • King County –King County Executive Dow Constantine and Health Officer Jeff Duchin issued Local Health Order aligned with Governor Inslee’s public health actions effective, March 16.

  • Pierce County - Pierce County Public Health has a website dedicated to what Stay Home Stay Healthy means, resources for Washington State residents, and guidelines to help disinfect and up to date numbers on cases in Pierce County.

  • Snohomish County - Snohomish County Public Health's website has advice for residents, current numbers of cases in the area, as well as other resources!

  • Clark County - Clark County Public Health's website also has advice for residents, current numbers of cases in the area, as well as other resources!

  • These counties are a small sample of the local information available to Washington residence. We encourage you to view your own counties public health websites for more information!

Washington Lawmakers Pass Ban on Plastic Grocery Bags
Washington state lawmakers passed a ban on plastic grocery bags and added an 8-cent fee on paper bags. Gov. Jay Inslee has not yet signed the bill passed by the state Senate but some conservative lawmakers supported the Democrat-sponsored legislation in the hopes it will create paper bag demand and energize Washington’s pulp and paper industry.
