WTAP supporters and friends joined us on Friday November 15th at ASU Sky Song for our annual fundraising breakfast. WTAP receives no government funding and all of our operating expenses are covered through the generosity of our community. Attendees had the chance to hear about WTAP’s mission from Chase Rasmussen (Board Member), Mike Sullivan (Agency Director), Amela Duric (former refugee and frequent WTAP volunteer) and Naruro Hassan (a refugee from Somalia, social justice activist, ASU student and community organizer).
The audience learned why, who and how WTAP shares with newly arrived refugees and reasons we need support. The event was a thematic and financial success. Our benevolent sponsors covered the entire cost of the event, meaning that all revenue generated will go to WTAP and the refugees who we serve.
Even if you did not attend the breakfast, you can
to donate. We are all a part of the welcomes, none more so than the many donors who contributed on this day.
