1. On Saturday, September 10, 2022, nationally renowned genealogist, J. Mark Lowe, FUGA, will be presenting two webinars for us. The first one at 10:00 am is entitled “Early Migration to Tennessee and the Trails they Followed.” The 2nd presentation will be at 11:15 am and is entitled “Settlers Traveling by Rivers, Trails, and Dusty Roads.” Check out the details on the website.
2. “Colonial Research in Maryland” given by Debra A. Hoffman, PLCGS, will be given on Saturday, September 17, 2022, and is a part of our Researching the Original Colonies series.
3. At the end of our October Quarterly Business Meeting (which usually only lasts about 20 minutes) on Saturday, October 8, 2022, Linda Moss Mines, Vice Chairman on the Board of Trustees of the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, will give a talk about Tent Graves in Upper Tennessee and Kentucky.
4. Fall Seminar on November 12, 2022, will be an all-day event given by Craig Roberts Scott, MA, CG, FUGA and President and CEO of Heritage Books, Inc. The day will include sessions on researching such topics as Pension Records, Bounty Lands (Colonial to 1855), Mexican American War Ancestors, and World War I Ancestors.
TNGS members attend for free; others pay $5.00, the exception is the Fall Seminar where all will pay to attend. More events are available throughout the month of September and October and through the end of the year.
