Carmen Ronan has built her career around strengthening communities through people, organizations, and the infrastructure they rely on. She began in public relations at Valley of the Sun United Way, supporting nonprofit human services partners across the Phoenix area. Inspired to pursue public service, she earned a Master of Public Administration and went on to serve as a management consultant for the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineers in Washington, D.C. After returning to Arizona, she held roles with the Governor’s Office of Education, the City of Phoenix Management Fellowship program, and the city’s international trade offices in Mexico.
Today, Carmen is Director of Business Development at Hill International, where she develops client partnerships and growth opportunities for major infrastructure projects, including airports, hospitals, and care centers for crime victims.
As Legislative Chair for WTS Metro Phoenix, Carmen helps members connect with elected officials and engage in public policy. Since joining WTS about three years ago, she has valued the organization’s strong network, mentorship, and commitment to advancing women. She encourages members to take active roles, build meaningful relationships, and grow as leaders in both their workplaces and communities.
