April Trevett brings more than 24 years of experience in the transportation industry and currently serves as Capital Programs Administration Manager at Valley Metro. In this role, she leads a team of six and oversees the business functions of the Capital Development Division, including managing an $80 million annual budget and supporting the planning, design, and construction of major rail and bus projects. April has spent more than two decades at Valley Metro in various leadership roles and began her career at ARCADIS, supporting environmental and marketing teams.

April has been an active member of WTS Metro Phoenix since 2018, initially joining through the Mentorship Program. She went on to serve six years on the Executive Board as Vice President, President, and Immediate Past President, and now represents the chapter as the PWRC Representative. Throughout her tenure, she has supported multiple committees, stepped into key leadership gaps, and led impactful initiatives, including the creation of the chapter’s DEI program and the successful return to in-person programming post-pandemic.

For April, the most rewarding part of WTS has been the relationships built and the growth she’s witnessed in others. She encourages members to get involved, noting that board service is a powerful way to grow as a leader while helping advance a more inclusive future for transportation.
