The Veterans Bridge Home slogan is, “a stronger community, one Veteran at a time.” We say this because we know that Veterans and their families make great neighbors, employees, and citizens.

This Tuesday WTVI, the Charlotte-based PBS station, aired a segment on exactly how we serve the Veterans and families in our community.

Stable Call - Hoppin'

Hoppin has it going on, a new twist on the bar experience and a high tech way of getting your drink. How you say? Well they have wristband technology which tracks what and how much you pour...yourself. That's right, no bartenders! How do they do it? Well here's your opportunity to come check it out and enjoy some good beverages with friends.

Friends and Family of Caliber Collision and Recycled Rides can receive highly discounted tickets to the Checkers hockey game versus the Hartford Wolf Pack on March 23rd. $5 from each ticket purchased will go directly back to Veterans Bridge Home. PURCHASE HERE

Our group will receive block seating, that way we can experience the excitement together. Invite your friends and family to join you at the game by sharing your referral link (that you will receive after purchasing) via text, email, or social media. Anyone who purchases from your link will automatically be seated next to you on game day. You will receive an email from Fevo 1-2 days before the game with info on how to access your tickets. Veteran of the Month

NOMINATE HERE

VBH would like to recognize our fellow Veterans who served and are continuing to serve, their community. Do you know anyone who served, who doesn’t seek attention, but seems like they’re always doing good? This is your opportunity to show them a little love. No matter how young or old, we encourage you to nominate a deserving Veteran today. It could be a family member, spouse, friend, mom or dad.

Veterans will be selected on such factors as community impact and service record. Each month we will select a Veteran who will receive a VBH prize package including a shirt, hat, recognition and more. Selections will be recognized in The Connector and social media channels. They will also be entered in a drawing to receive four (4) free Carolina Panthers tickets to a game during the 2019 season.

Volunteer today with Novant Health Hospice. They participate in the national We Honor Veterans hospice partnership—to ensure we are meeting the needs of seriously ill Veterans and their families.

Veteran hospice volunteers are a valuable resource for other veterans at the end of life as they share similar experiences, a common language terminology, cultural bond, and codes of conduct and honor. This allows for the perfect gateway to be opened between Veteran Volunteers and Veterans being cared for by hospice.

Russ Guerin Beyond Limits

Triumph Over Adversity

Through a unique collaboration with Atrium Health, the Russ Guerin Beyond Limits program provides specialized post-rehabilitative training to help traumatic injury patients, as well as individuals living with a chronic disease, regain physical abilities.
