The University of Georgia Bulldogs are the defending national champions, but the Alabama Crimson Tide and many other teams enter the 2022-23 season with hopes of preventing a repeat.

Varsity football is also incredibly popular throughout the Wiregrass, and our weekly highlight show, "Friday Night Football," returns Friday nights at 10 p.m. starting August 19th.

Plus, watch live game broadcasts from different schools every Friday at 7 p.m. on WTVY Channel 4.6 MeTV, produced in partnership with Tyree Entertainment.
