as we celebrate the opening of a new juried gallery exhibit with a champagne reception. Meet and mingle with the artists as you sip a glass of bubbly. It's a great way to begin an evening out. We hope to see you there.

Today's message from Mark Love, WVAL President, is his reflection on the annual Student Show currently showing in our gallery. We invite you to take a few moments to read it.

Why did I stop making art at 14? Why did it take me 38 years to start again? What could I have made in those lost four decades, and how could I have grown as an artist in all that time? I mean, how good would I be now if I’d never stopped? These are the questions nagging me as I walk around the gallery taking in each work, reading each artist’s statement, wondering at the minds - even more at the hearts - of each creator... ARTS FEST 2023

What a weekend! Although Mother Nature ushered in Arts Fest with a bit of bluster, that just added to the excitement. The food, music, and Saturday's car show were enjoyed by all. Of course the big star was the artwork.

Many visitors left the festival with something new, along with memories of their conversations with the artists. Artwork that resonates with a collector has an even deeper meaning when they know the story of its creation.

Thank you to everyone who attended, to our Art League volunteer staff, and of course, to the artists.

We hope to see you next year at Arts Fest 2024!

Join us the second Monday of May

at the Wimberley Community Center for our

General Meeting and Artist Presentation.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a half-hour social in the gallery. The main event begins promptly at 6:30 and ends by 8:00. Presenters are Tim Leibrock and Jim Street.

Dripping Springs Art Tour

The Dripping Springs Art League, in conjunction with eleven sponsors and seven local art galleries, present the Dripping Springs Art Tour on May 20-21 from 11am to 6pm. Join them for a leisurely weekend and experience a wide array of amazing artwork created by local artists including WVAL member Priscilla Roach, manager 2 Moons Art Loft.
