Newsletter 3/12/21
Wow. Things are really happening back on campus at WVCS! After the last Middle School Outdoor Education Day, we have had a great deal of Middle Schoolers return to campus! It's very exciting to see them back on campus, hanging out with their old friends. It's just like old times!

After School Enrichments also kicked off this week! We are now offering Academic Chess, Theater Club, Dance, Volleyball, Art, Sports Camp, and Basketball! These programs are open to all TK-8th grade students. We had an excellent turn out and the kids are had so much fun! If you haven't signed up already, we encourage you do so quickly, as classes are filling up. Art class is no longer accepting any more students. More details below. Click here to sign up.

We also had a great turn out at Mrs. W's Math Club! This tutoring program is free to WVCS students and takes place after school. Who would have thought tutoring could be so much fun? Mrs. W finds out where each student is struggling and helps them get caught up in a healthy social environment among peers. If you would like more information, please email Mrs. W directly at agcerrand@gmail.com.

Last week we also had our Virtual Open Houses. Elementary conducted their Virtual Open House via scheduled Zoom Conferences. Middle School sent home a Virtual Open House email. In case you missed it, click here for the Middle School Virtual Open House. Within the email there are video Q&A Discussions between Middle School faculty and several Middle School students discussing important grade level and subject specific information.

While the majority of our current families have already re-enrolled for next year, you can click here to re-enroll for the 2021-2022 school year. Simply sign in to your FACTS Family Portal using "WVCS-CA" as the district code. Complete the application located on the left side of screen. Click here for more detailed instructions.

Thank you to all the families who participated in our recent Return to School Survey. As we make plans for next year, it is important that we understand where our families stand. If you have not already, click here to take the survey. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Check out our recent promotional video for West Valley Christian Preschool! We ask that you please share this video with any friends or family members in search of a great preschool for their young ones! Our preschool truly is such a special place.

6th Grade

Say hello to Sarah Fletcher! Sarah is a 6th grader at WVCS. Her favorite Disney movie is Mary Poppins, but her favorite Disney character is Stitch! When asked what her favorite thing to put on a hamburger is, without hesitation, she said pickles! Her favorite vacation memory is spending time on the beach at Ixtapa, Mexico. She’s had a lot of blessings in her life, but the one that she is most thankful for is God healing her mom of cancer. Sarah is a great example of having Falcon pride!
7th Grade

Introducing Mikey Molina! He’s a 7th grader here at WVCS. His favorite Disney character is one of the Avengers… Spiderman! When asked what his favorite Disney movie was, his response was Wreck-It Ralph. On burgers, he likes cheese…no type in particular…just needs cheese! Mikey’s favorite vacation memory is when his family went to Legoland and stayed in the Lego Hotel. He counts his family being safe during the pandemic as his greatest blessing. Mikey is a great example of having Falcon pride!

8th Grade

This is Samuel Koehnlein, one of our 8th graders at WVCS. He’s a big fan of Woody from Toy Story but his favorite Disney movie is Thor Ragnarok. Hard to argue with that! He loves Swiss cheese on his burgers, and his favorite vacation memory is riding Tatsu for the first time at Six Flags Magic Mountain. When asked what blessing he is most thankful for in his life, he said that he is thankful for having good friends. Samuel is a great example of having Falcon pride!
