Welcoming the Summer Season: Barbeques, Beachcombing, Barrel Making and Battling Invasives

Greetings Watershed Stewards,

As we close out the month of May and look forward to the start of summer, WVP will be kicking things off with some events befitting the warm weather to come.

For those of you getting your gardens and raingardens in shape, there are two Rain Barrel Making Workshops on June 1st and June 11th.

Join Cleveland Metroparks and Rocky River Watershed Council at the Emerald Necklace Marina on June 3rd for their annual Rocky River Clean-Up. After the clean up, we'll be hosting a barbeque to celebrate!

Visit the Euclid Beach Pier on June 8th for a beach clean up and make upcycled art from recovered beach glass.

While we will continue to have work sessions dedicated to eliminating various invasives, June 14th finishes off Garlic Mustard removal season with a talk about Garlic Mustard Aphids at the Watershed Stewardship Center.

Please save the date for our next Monday MeetUp on June 26th with Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Inc.

We look forward to seeing you at an event soon!

With great appreciation,

Sara Corrigan

Watershed Volunteer Program Coordinator
