Going With the Flow

Greetings Watershed Stewards,

A lot of things flowed through my mind while conducting my final enews. I must wave farewell before meandering back to school. However, before I runoff, I'd like to deposit some of my knowledge and shed some light on our upcoming events one last time.

On September 18, we have our Monday MeetUp with Doan Brook Partnership and the City of Cleveland. We will join them for a tour of Rockefeller Park and take a look at the Sowinski Park Restoration Project.

The following week, on Saturday, September 23 the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is hosting their Clean Water Fest. This event is for water minded groups and individuals to come together for a day of informative fun. You can join us for (O)utreach by helping at our table or go on your own time to see all that the day has to offer.

We appreciate your continued help with our program and hope to see you at a WVP event in the near future!

Sep 1 - Sep 30 @ All Cleveland Metroparks Reservations

Join the Cleveland Metroparks and National Recreation and Park Association for a Pollinator Bioblitz. Throughout the whole month of September you can help track the number of pollinator species found in the Cleveland Metroparks. Join the iNaturalist group and upload any pictures of pollinators that you take. The species will be identified and recorded to help raise awareness of our current pollinator crisis. Join West Creek Conservancy as they restore the old Camp Corde fields! They will be installing live stakes along the newly created wetland complex. This involves hammering 2' sticks into the ground. Wear closed toed shoes and bring work gloves.
