Maintenance Requests & Work Orders

There are two ways to request maintenance that depend on the urgency of the issue. If you are unsure if a request is urgent, please contact the Housing Office during normal business hours or the after-hours on-call hall staff and they will be able to help assess the situation.

Urgent Request

In the event of a facilities emergency, please contact the Housing Office or hall staff immediately. They will help assess the situation and request facilities support.

Non-Urgent Request

If there is a non-urgent maintenance request, residents can request assistance through Housing Self Service. These requests are only monitored during normal business hours.

  1. Log in to Housing Self Service.
  2. Select the RCR/Damages Menu.
  3. Select Maintenance Requests.
  4. Enter your hall and room information. Select the repair category type.
  5. Enter a short, descriptive title for the request.
  6. Type out a detailed description of the problem that service is being requested for.

Washing machines and dryers are provided in each residence hall. The cost to wash and dry clothes are included in the room and meal plan rate. This means there is NO additional charge at the machine and no more need for quarters!

Many students prefer to use detergent pods as it is lightweight and easy to bring with your clothes to the laundry room. Pods go into the drum with clothes, and not into detergent cups.

Shared Kitchenette

Each residence hall has a shared kitchenette in the building. This is a place where students can bake cookies, warm up snacks, or cook a small meal. Each hall has a microwave located on each floor to easily heat up a quick snack or other food.
