UND has numerous programs to assist students with academics, financial aid, accessibility, and belonging. Read more about some of these programs below, and follow the included links to learn more about what is available to you on campus.

Academics & Support

UND Academic Services & Career Engagement aims to provide students with a variety of services in support, including tutoring, testing services, disability resources, and more. These services are offered free of charge to all UND students!


You can visit Academic Support on campus in McCannel Hall, Room 280 (located behind the Memorial Union), and Student Disability Resources in O'Kelly Hall, Room 2.

TRIO is a set of federally-funded programs that provide resources and assistance for first-generation and income eligible students to graduate with a college degree. These programs include:


  • Student Support Services
  • Ronald E. McNair Program (doctoral degree preparation)
  • Educational Opportunity Center (adult re-entry/non-traditional student assistance)


You can visit the TRIO Programs offices on the third floor of McCannel Hall.

The Community Standards & Care Network offers referrals and services for students in need, in addition to general advisement and disciplinary services. Students in special circumstances or with concerns pertaining to campus safety should contact the CSCN to make arrangements or file reports.

Health & Wellness

The UND Wellness Center is our award-winning state-of-the-art health and wellness facility. From fitness training to cooking classes, they have you covered on every facet for developing better physical health! All enrolled UND students are eligible for Wellness Center membership. Stop by 801 Princeton Street (near the Ralph Engelstad Arena) and start your campus fitness journey!


Anyone with a valid UND Parking Permit, including housing, commuter, and Greek permits, can park in the lot during enforced times without receiving a ticket.

Student Health Services is your clinic away from home, providing professional medical & psychiatric care in a comfortable, safe environment. The SHS office is located in McCannel Hall, Room 100.


For emergency care, please dial 911 or visit Altru Emergency Room on South Columbia Road in Grand Forks (located just south of the UND campus).

The University Counseling Center offers in-person and tele-mental health services to enrolled students. Clinical services provided by the UCC include:


  • Individual counseling
  • Crisis counseling
  • Groups & workshops
  • Personal evaluations
  • Substance use services


You can visit the UCC on campus in McCannel Hall, Room 200.

Community & Belonging

The Hilyard Center seeks to create a welcoming environment for all multicultural students at UND. Located in the Memorial Union, Room 201, the center offers a place for students to hang out, study, hold meetings, and more.

The UND Pride Center hosts a variety of events for our campus LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff to gather and find support. The Pride Center is committed to creating a safer, more supportive campus community through resources, education, and training.


Visit the Pride Center on the second floor of the Memorial Union, Room 204.

The Indigenous Student Center supports Indigenous students in their academic, social, and cultural growth. Staff is available to assist and guide students with a variety of Indigenous related programs, including:


  • Indians Into Medicine (INMED)
  • Recruitment/Retention of American Indians Into Nursing (RAIN)
  • Indians Into Psychology Doctoral Education (INPSYDE)
  • UND's Annual Time Out Wacipi Powwow (takes place in the spring)


You can visit the Indigenous Student Center at 315 Princeton Street.

ARH Leadership Summit: Paint Your Path

Join the Association of Residence Halls for a 3-day leadership summit with workshops, activities, and opportunities to explore your leadership style and connect with students who share your interests. Participating applicants will move in early, explore campus, make friends, and learn a little more about yourself with us!


ARH Leadership Summit: Paint Your Path

August 19 – 21, 2026

  • First-year students who apply will be expected to move in August 19.
  • Meals, snacks, and entertainment will be provided.
  • On the last day of the summit, participating students will volunteer with Welcome Weekend Move-In on August 22 to help other incoming first-year students settle into their Home at UND.
