Hello Mark,

My name is Amanda Perez and I am the 2021-2022 President for the Association of Residence Halls (ARH) at UND. This volume of Wednesday Weekly features ways you can get involved in the residence halls!

When I moved to campus from my home in California to Grand Forks, I didn’t know anyone. I wasn’t sure how to get involved, but I talked with my RA, and they encouraged me to join my hall government. After joining, I got to know my community by attending meetings and events. I found a great support system of friends and mentors that went beyond working together in hall government. My experience in hall government led me to run for an ARH Representative position in my hall. This opened many more doors for me and introduced me to students throughout the residence halls. If you're hoping to build leadership skills and meet other students on campus, I encourage you to participate in hall government and ARH!

You can learn more about hall government and ARH by reviewing the information in the email below. If you have any questions about ARH, you can email me at I look forward to seeing you around campus!

Hall Government

Each hall government is comprised of students that live in that specific building or area. Leaders work to connect students in the hall by planning social events and bringing ideas to ARH and campus leadership.

How To Get Involved

  • Talk to your RA at your first floor meeting.
  • Attend your hall's recruitment event for hall government. Signs will be posted around your hall for a specific date and time.

Association of Residence Halls (ARH)

ARH is comprised of student leaders from each hall who work closely with Dining Services and Housing & Residence Life staff to promote a positive residential experience for students. Student-led committees plan programs, get residents involved and oversee many of the great things happening in the residence halls.

How To Get Involved

  • Become a Hall Representative
  • Attend meetings on Thursdays at 5 pm in Wilkerson 173/175

Upcoming Events

  • ARH Meet and Greet | Wilkerson Commons | September 2
