UND is developing project plans to improve the physical condition of on-campus housing options. The goal of the project is to provide renovated and newly constructed housing for students. Through the planning process, it has been determined to focus on Brannon, McVey, and West Halls as the first phase of the project. This includes additional remodeling of Brannon Hall to include installation of air conditioning, new windows, and new furniture. In addition, West and McVey will be replaced with new construction. These improvements are set to be completed starting Fall 2022.
Noren and Selke Halls will now be used for assignments for the 2021 - 2022 academic year. West Hall will no longer be offered as a living option.
Things to know:
You do not need to update your hall preferences to live in one of the reopened hall options.
- All students will be able to self-select from all available halls, including Noren and Selke, during the room selection process if space is available at their selection time.
- Bek, Fulton, Johnstone, Smith, Squires, Swanson*, and Walsh Halls will continue to be offered as living options.
- West, McVey, Brannon, and Hancock Halls will not be used and will not be offered as living options.
- We are proceeding this week with all LLC assignments based on indicated interest. LLC Placements for Aviation, Emerging Leaders, and Honors have been updated.
We're excited for the upcoming changes happening to campus housing so we can continue to provide an on-campus living experience that meets the needs of students today and in the future.
