Hello Mark,

The next step in the New Student Room Selection Process is for you to receive your room self-selection start time and to select your room!

To ensure you're prepared to select your room, review the steps below.

Your room self-selection start time will be sent to you via email*. This is the time that you will be able to log in to Housing Self Service and select from any available rooms. Room Selection priority times are based on original application completion times. Check with your roommate matches to see who has the earliest time as they should be prepared to make room selections for your entire group.

*Room self-selection times will be sent on May 20, 2021, to students that completed their application process prior to May 1, 2021. 

*Room self-selection times will be sent on May 27, 2021, to students who completed the application process after May 1, 2021.

Your top hall choice may be full when your selection time starts so please be sure you have reviewed all potential options.

Is your roommate group fully matched?

• If you are a part of a roommate group and it is not fully matched, you will not be able to select a room. 
• If you would like to select a room, you will want to remove any roommate(s) from your group that have not matched or contact them to log in and accept your request. 
• After completing one of these steps, you will then be able to select a room.
• Prior to selection, please check in with your matches to make sure the members of your roommate group are also matched with one another.
• Ensure that you have removed any pending roommate requests that you are no longer planning to live with.

Can't see a hall that is a top preference?

• The most likely reason for not seeing any rooms in the hall you are looking for is that all rooms have already been claimed for assignment.
• However, if you are in a roommate group it may mean that there are not any open spaces for the size of your group. You can try splitting the members of your roommate group and then try searching for a room again.
• If you split your roommate group, please make sure you complete the assignment process for all of your matches.

I requested a single room, what should I do?

• Students interested in a single room should pick a room space during room selection. It is not guaranteed that students who complete the request form will be assigned a single room. 
• Single rooms will be offered only if space is available after July 6.

We will be offering extended office hours from May 25 - May 27, 2021. Our full-time professional staff will be available for calls from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm.
