WWDI Alumni Newsletter November 2023
Greetings!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. As I thought about everything I'm grateful for, one thing that immediately came to mind was how grateful I am for all of the support our alumni have shown the DI program over the years. From precepting new interns, hiring graduates, mentoring current interns, and speaking at orientation and commencement, your continued dedication is appreciated.

More recently, we've been reaching out to alumni to speak to the ACEND review board, who will be onsite in Hingham from December 3rd-5th. They will be sharing their experience with the program as well as where they are now in their careers as dietitians. If you would like to participate in the alumni meeting on December 4th at 9:15 AM ET, we would love to have you. You can register for the Zoom call HERE.

The WWDI team is in the final stages of preparing for our accreditation. Now that all of the data has been processed and presented, we are so proud to see the growth of the program over the last 7 years. From 20 to 113 interns, we continue to strive to offer a flexible, supportive environment for students as they take this major step in their careers. We are looking forward to sharing all of our material with the ACEND program reviewers.

Welcome Fall Class of 2023!

We are pleased to welcome 11 new interns to our fall class of 2023. We haven't participate in a fall match since 2017, so we are excited to start the on-boarding process with our new class. Some were able to meet our spring class on our cohort call last week, and received a very warm welcome. We will have our official welcome call with this cohort on November 30th.

Preceptors Wanted!
We are always on the lookout for high quality preceptors, and what better place to start than with our own high quality graduates! Now more than ever interns are struggling to find preceptors to complete their rotations. You have the ability to help mold the future of the profession! Rotations can now be completed onsite or remotely.
