to Receive Special Certificate of Recognition

What: Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Gregg K. Weiss will be presenting a certificate of recognition to Manny Frockt, one of 10 surviving soldiers who served in the Ghost Army, a U.S. World War II deception unit.
In February, President Joe Biden signed into law the Ghost Army Congressional Gold Medal Act honoring the WWII deception units known as "The Ghost Army." These top-secret units used inflatable tanks, sound effects and creative trickery to fool the Germans on the battlefields of Europe, saving thousands of lives and contributing to Allied victory.

The nonprofit Ghost Army Legacy Project will be holding a celebration ceremony for each surviving soldier.
