Celebrating 50 Years!
50th Anniversary Concert
Time for Three

On Sunday, WWS community members from across the years gathered to celebrate our 50th year. Alumnus, Nick Kendall ('97) and friends Charles Yang and Ranaan Meyer make up the band Time for Three. The crowd was transported by their music which is moving, beautiful, and fun. The afternoon was a glorious celebration that honored the history of our school, Waldorf education, and the future of what comes next.

We were able to sit with Nick for a few minutes before the concert. Please enjoy the memories and musings of a professional musician on how his Waldorf education has served him throughout his life and career...

Women's History Month
from Bonnie McClelland, High School Coordinator
March is Women’s History Month. We are marking 100 years of the 19 th Amendment to the US Constitution and the suffrage movement with images and information posted in the CG hallway, outside the kitchen, and outside the music room. We also encourage everyone to celebrate by registering and voting, out of respect for those who fought long and hard to secure this right for many of us.
Celebrate women’s history month and menstrual equity in March as well as Earth Day in April with a buy-one, gift-one to the school promotion for menstrual cups. Visit The Keeper for more information and to shop their eco-friendly cups, made in the USA since 1987. Enter the promotional code “Waldorf” at checkout and for every cup you purchase one will be donated to the school and available for free in several of the restrooms on our campus (note: cannot be combined with other offers). Thank you for your support of the school and this normal, healthy facet of our community life.

Together We Thrive
Please Support the WWS Annual Fund Today!
Please help us reach the goal of 100% community participation with  your gift today . Your gift matters!

The Annual Fund is our most important fundraising activity of the year. It is a yearly appeal to all members of our community to make tax-deductible contributions that help ensure the best possible education for our children by supporting the current operations of the School. These gifts improve the daily life of every student and every faculty member in a variety of ways, including enhanced academic programs, tuition assistance, quality materials in the classrooms, professional development for our teachers and more. Participation by every family is important! 100% participation is very important for any foundation funding to be awarded to WWS and community support in other activities.
Please consider making a recurring gift this year. Giving a little each month can add up to a big gift! A $25 per month gift adds up to $300! Recurring donations can be added to your FACTS account or your credit card via our online donation page. You can also set up a recurring donation through your bank.

Feel free to contact me, Caitlin MacKenzie, Development Director, at cmackenzie@washingtonwaldorf.org  or at 301-229-5679. Thank you for your support!

Information Session on Teacher Training and Explorations
Sunday March 8 at 11am

We are excited to announce the possibility of two new opportunities for further study in Waldorf Education through the Center for Anthroposophy (CFA) to begin in the Fall of 2020. One is a new cohort for Explorations.

The participants from this year's Explorations are finding it engaging and exciting. CFA also hopes to bring Building Bridges to our community. Building Bridges is another step towards a Waldorf teaching certificate or M. Ed. in Waldorf Education from Antioch University.

Please come hear more on March 8th at 11am. Torin and Karine Finser, the current Explorations group, and Debbie Spitulnik will share their experiences and answer questions about the programs. In addition, there will be a gallery showing of the participants' art work from our weekend together. Please contact Debbie ( dspitulnik@washingtonwaldorf.org) or milan@centerforanthroposophy for further information.
