Some amazing student-peer interactions occurred between Greenhouse and Sustainable Habitat students who taught the life cycle stages of a plant and pumpkins to students with Special Needs. Both classes designed engaging lessons for these students. After the lessons were completed, every student was able to go out to the greenhouse and pick out there very own pumpkin. These pumpkins were the ones grown over the summer by FFA members as part of our Plant an Extra Row Campaign. As an extra experience, Bella Burke, a greenhouse student who also is raising friendly pigs, toured the students in the barn. This created a very real pumpkin patch/fall farm theme.

Amazing to see the collaboration, leadership and connection to multiple aspects of education and extended learning for all students. Every one of our students walked away with a great learning experience.
