Trial Balloon --
Flying Pen Fundraiser?
Women Writing for (a) Change is considering the possibility of a
Flying Pen fundraiser to parallel the Flying Pig Marathon in May. We want to know how much interest there might be within this community, for those who will run/walk the Pig and also those who would be interested in a "writing marathon."

With Gratitude and Appreciation
2016 Donor Recognition
Thank you. It takes a community! Each and every one of you in this community of donors makes Women Writing for (a) Change possible. From core classes to summer camps, through scholarships and outreach to those less advantaged, your gifts provide one third of the funding needed to offer this multitude of opportunities to nurture and celebrate the individual voice.
Each of you is a critical partner in bringing these circles into the second 25 years of fostering creative self-expression through the art of writing. With grateful appreciation, on behalf of over 1500 women, girls and men who walked through our doors and who sat in our circles in 2016:
A huge "Thank you!" to all listed at the link below:

V-DAY 2017
Hometown Monologues:
WORDS MATTER
The Women Writing for (a) Change 5th annual V-Day event took place on Friday, February 10th and Saturday February 11th. With attendance of 184, over $3800 was raised.
Proceeds benefit the V-DAY organization as well as programs, including writing circles, to support victims of domestic abuse in the Greater Cincinnati area.
This was the second consecutive year in which local writers were invited to submit their work. O
riginal monologues, essays, humorous pieces, and/or poetry on the topics of sexuality, gynecology, gender-based violence, rape culture, and LGBTQ issues were welcomed. Over forty pieces were submitted this year, which led to two unique evenings of readings.
