Raise the Roof Shelter in the Storm
$8,821 Raised!
No more leaks! Keep the writing circles dry! These imperatives drove an online fundraiser, Raise the Roof -- Shelter in the Storm on September 2nd and 3rd. Following a very generous early gift, plus rainy day savings, WWf(a)C was $8000 shy of the $31,000 needed for a new roof.
Your generous donations raised $8,821, in two days, bringing us to 102% of the total $31,000 goal. THANK YOU! Tremendous gratitude to the 55 donors who contributed to meet this challenge, and to all of you who support WWf(a)C in so very many ways. You make all the difference.
Thanks also to Pam Temple and Spencer Funk (Wild Carrot Band) and Kelly Richey, who offered videos of songs with themes of rain or shelter. Lisa Rocklin kept the fun going with Facebook live updates, a challenge to guess how many gallons of water were collected from the ceiling leaks January through March, and writing prompts about shelter and the WWf(a)C building and community. Mary Wood-Constable worked behind the scenes coordinating and updating Facebook and our webpages. Gratitude to ALL who made this happen!
