COLORADO #141
RANCHING FOR WILDLIFE PRIME DATE BULL ELK AND LAST CHANCE ANTELOPE
| | |
Over the last 40 years this outfitter has amassed a remarkable harvest percentage of 90% on branch-antlered bull elk. At one point, his last 320 clients had taken 307 bull elk! That’s an impressive record! On average, bulls across all camps range from 2.5-4 years old, and 240”-290” with the occasional 300”+ bull. If you choose to pass multiple bulls over several days, your elk tag is either sex, and you may harvest a cow elk for meat.
RFW ranches are NOT fenced, but are intensively managed under the control of biologists and the State of Colorado. By enrolling in the RFW program, the outfitter gets more flexibility as the landowner is allowed to set his own seasons and can directly issue licenses to clients. NO DRAW!
You will be hunting on 3 private ranches northwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The elk herd in this area is reported to be 22,000 head. The herd goal set by the CPW is 12,000 animals, which is good news for hunters. TOO MANY ELK! Most bull elk here will be good respectable 5x5s and 6x6s, and some exceptional elk in the 300-inch class and above are harvested from time to time.
This may be your last chance to hunt antelope in Colorado this fall. And this is a unique opportunity, as Ranching for Wildlife hunts can set their own season dates, and they offer a guaranteed license (meaning no draw required!). Since every State in the West has a draw system for antelope, this is a huge PLUS for hunters. Instead of collecting points for years, you can simply book this hunt and go! Success has historically been approx. 100% on this 42,000-acre ranch, and the outfitter expects the same this year. Hunt takes place near Steamboat Springs.
Great lodging and meals included along with 2x1 guiding. This rare opening won’t last long!!

ALBERTA #335
DISCOUNTED HALF PRICE RUT MOOSE HUNT
| | |
This young gung ho outfitter purchased a long time existing bear hunting outfit in 2022. He has since expanded to include moose hunts starting in 2023. Last year they took 4 hunters and 2 tagged moose (a 52” and a 47”). This is outstanding for Alberta as normal expectations in the region would be 35-45”. They will be taking just 4 hunters for 2025. This hunt takes place on the Athabasca river. Clients who elect to fly will travel to Edmonton and rent a car for the two-hour drive to Athabasca where they will be met by the outfitter. Accommodations will consist of a wall tent camp with generators providing hot water on demand with showers. Wood stoves and a full kitchen with home cooked meals will also be provided. You would be hard pressed to find a better tent camp then this outfitter provides.
Hunting will consist of spot and stalk calling as well as running the river searching for lovesick bulls looking for cows. There will be 4 quads along with 3 boats and 1 side by side in camp to access further reaches of the area. The goal will be for bulls in the 40”-50” range. All hunters will be guided 1x1. A full 7 days of hunting with the opportunity for some mid-day fishing. The hunting schedule will alternate between running the river searching for bulls one day to using the quads to hunt remote areas the next.

| | |
This great Oregon outfitter prides himself on making every hunt a very personal adventure where he is the guide. This is not some huge operation where you are just a number. For this year they have one remaining discounted mule deer hunt available. This hunt will be conducted in the Owyhee unit where expectations will be for deer in the 150-170” range with 180” trophy potential. For a non-resident it would take around 10 years to draw this tag, however they have an outfitter tag so no draw is necessary. This will be a 5 day 1x1 guided hunt with tent camp accommodations and meals provided.
He also has a couple of cow elk hunts available. These hunts will take place mostly in the Keating unit on both public and private lands. Tags are over the counter. WYOMING #143
LAST 2 HUNTS- DEPREDATION COW ELK
| | |
The perfect meat hunt! Physically very easy, perfect for family and older hunters and anyone wanting elk meat. And youth licenses are a bargain!
These Wyoming ranchers annually are sustaining massive crop damage from marauding herds of elk of 30 to 150 animals and more. Due to damage claims taking so much money out of WY Game and Fish coffers, a special arrangement has been negotiated to allow these select bunch of ranchers a Special Depredation Hunt. There is no time limit to apply; no points are required to draw. All private lands. You will need to contact us at hunt Nation for a full explanation of the special procedures you will need to follow to obtain the tags. It’s not very difficult once you understand the procedures and rules. In 2025, a Wyoming cow elk tag for non-residents costs $303. A youth license for a cow elk tag costs only $115!
You will be fully guided 2 hunters per guide. All hunts are 3 days, although we expect you likely fill out quickly. Shots will mainly be likely be from hay bale blinds looking over about 3,000 acres of alfalfa and hay fields, and ranges can stretch out to 300 to 400 yards, so be prepared for that. You should see numbers of elk, and careful shooting is required to avoid hitting more than one animal. Any cows with young calves cannot be taken. If you want a second cow, you must pay the full price. Wounding counts as a kill normally.
Meals and lodging are not provided, but we have a hotel where you will get discounted rates. Expect hunting to be early and late, with midday breaks. Once harvested your trophy will be transported to the local processor where they will skin, quarter and freeze for around $100.

COLORADO #376
HUNT NATION EXCLUSIVE MIGRATION ELK HUNT
| | |
We at Hunt Nation are very excited about this unique bull elk hunt and had an overwhelming amount of interest when we first advertised it a few weeks ago.
Setting in the northwestern corner of the state, a few miles west from the town of Craig, this outfitter owns over a thousand acres of private ground. This ranch is strategically located next to two larger ranches that participate in the practice of Ranching for Wildlife. This is a state sponsored conservation program that helps integrate agricultural practices with wild animal conservation for the benefit of both. The local and migrating elk herds benefit greatly from this program and that make this ranch an elk hot spot. This ranch also serves as access to several thousand acres of land locked BLM land.
We are very excited to offer this hunt. Private land licenses for 2nd and 3rd rifle season are available over the counter, so you can hunt without hitting the draw. You will be staying and hunting out of your own 2 story shooting house. Houses can accommodate from 1 to 3 hunters.
Here is what a past client has to say about this outfit:
TB Says,” They do everything they can to get you an elk and they treat you like family. After the kill they truly help every way they can. I’ve hunted with them 10 times and I’ve taken 9 elk. The 10th time I passed an elk early on looking for something bigger”.

OHIO #240
AMAZING MIDWESTERN WHITETAILS
| | |
This ranch is the 2nd largest in the state of Ohio with 8,500 contiguous acres. It is carefully managed to produce trophy whitetail and turkey. With 60 stand locations spread over 12+ miles along with 40 trail cameras they are up to date on what the deer are doing. With 5-6 hunters per week and 35 for the season you can expect a quality hunting experience. The target is for deer 140” and bigger with a minimum limit of 130” deer. Hunting is done by tree stands, ground and elevated blinds. There are no deer drives permitted as drives are the largest source of wounded deer and miss-judgement of antler size. Ohio is in the top 5 when it comes to B&C entries with over 800 in the books.
In 2024 opportunity on whitetails was close to 100% with an overall success rate of 70% with an average score of 140” and the biggest deer taken going 172”. A patient hunter during a 5 day hunt should have a great opportunity at taking a trophy deer.
The lodge is a beautiful place where besides hosting hunters can be used for corporate meetings, fund raisers, reunions and so forth. With the ability to sleep up to 20 guests and a fulltime chef in house this truly is a top end place to hunt from. The lodge has ample parking, internet, cell reception, cable television along with a restaurant level kitchen. Given that is also a full time cattle ranch if you like premium beef for dinner look no further.
As an added bonus the property has 170 acres of water comprised of 14 lakes and 10 ponds that hold bass, bluegill, crappie and paddlefish. Additionally, they have stocked the lakes with 4,400 paddlefish.

NEW MEXICO / ARIZONA #351
AMAZING DEPREDATION EITHER SEX ELK HUNT
| | |
This outfitter conducts elk hunts in New Mexico along with mountain lion and black bear hound hunts in Arizona. New for this year he will be offering a very unique depredation either sex elk hunt.
This trip will take place out of Winslow Arizona with the tag available for purchase over the counter. Season dates run from August 1st through March 31st!!
The key to making this a successful hunt is this outfitter’s constant scouting and knowing where these elk like to be. He has seen elk on all his trips including bulls. These are resident elk and stay in the same area year round so regardless of when you plan your hunt the elk should be in the area. This will be primarily a cow elk hunt and he is confident that normally a cow can be taken in the first day or two. Bulls will mostly be 4x4’s and 5x5’s. This is an either sex elk tag so you will have the opportunity to shoot a bull if one presents itself. However, we are marketing this as a cow elk hunt at a cow elk price. The terrain will be fairly moderate and not physically difficult.
You will be responsible for your lodging and meals on this 5 day 2x2 guided hunt. 2 hunters are necessary to book and he will only be doing a couple of these hunts a year. If you have specific questions give us a call.
| | |
Pricing: $3,500 per hunter.
Dates: August 1- March 31st. Available dates will vary based on his schedule with other hunts.
Non-resident Arizona license $160. Elk tag $665.
